2427When I was in primary school I was told this, Lyndall says in her audio commentary, after the four out of 20 that I got for a spelling test.
This was very embarrassing because it was told to me in front of a whole class of fellow pupils. I later went on to become a journalist and I write for a living and I also edit other peoples work, which requires me to learn how to spell, thanks to Spellcheck which has become my best friend.
As an intern I worked at a local newspaper and I was also embarrassed in front of a whole newsroom of people when I was told once again that I had problems spelling.
But I work for the university now, and as I said I have to check other peoples spelling, so clearly somebody was wrong somewhere.
