2091This is Michael Turtle, a travel blogger who writes at Time Travel Turtle.
It was a few years ago when I was gainfully employed, and I told one of my bosses that I was thinking of leaving. I hoped he had a better offer for me. When I told him, this was his response.
I was a bit taken aback at the time, I thought it was a bit rude. Then I realised he was actually trying to be nice to me, pointing out that ultimately, the decision I should make should be what was best for me, not what was best for the company, as they didnt care about me. So I thought about it and I quit.
Taken in Rotterdam, Holland, during the Travel Bloggers Unite conference.

"Wow! That's still pretty harsh! I don't know if I'd have been so understanding! Companies should value their staff and realise that it will take time and money to find a replacement and build them "
