081Despite its relaxed appearance, this was a difficult image to capture. Although a fan of SOTM, she was reluctant to be photographed herself. And the weather was awful – dead light, biting, icy rain and a freezing breeze, so it became awkward to operate the camera’s controls.

Liz's SOTM relates to “the most important” moment in her family history, and she later told the story of how, as a seven-year-old, she went to see her baby sister for the first time.
