
1385Alison Thomas sent this in from Wellington, Shropshire, UK. She wrote: I was at a meeting about school linking. A UK teacher was sharing a project about food and where it comes from with their partner school in Tanzania. Joe, from Tanzania, said We don't buy food.
For me, it summed up a vast chasm in reality between our culture, where we eat food from all over the world regardless of season and life in rural Tanzania where you eat what you can grow. I met Joe through my work at Bridges, a small charity taking part in Small Charities Week.
