She says in her audio clip that: “When I was in high school I was determined never to get married. I was talking with my mom and she was talking about her own situation when she was in college in the 60s. When she graduated, her choice was – go to graduate school or get married.

“So we had a long discussion about men and marriage and everything else, and these were her words to me.”
