1711This is Chandrasonic, the guitarist with the band Asian Dub Foundation. He explains in his audio clip that he was in a band as a teenager, playing cover versions and started rehearsing in a stables at the end of a garden.

One day, Chandrasonic spoke to a man there who was “sort of a Sixties casualty but very, very wise” and who told him this SOTM. “From then on, I never played another cover version, and every time I picked up the guitar I tried to come up with something strange, put my fingers in random places, try strange sounds. It had a profound effect on me.”
