2229“We were in the Philippines, I was with my husband and my son. We went to visit this Catholic church, but we’re not religious.

”My son is four. I tried to explain to him what religion is. I told him that some people believe in saints and virgins, and that when they ask for something, if they behave they get it, and that they need to go on their knees and pray and the saints are going to listen.

”He wanted to try, so he asked if he could go on his knees. So he did it and after a while he asked me this, because he understood it as that if he prayed, the saints are going to come along and start to move.”
